One word of caution. If you are the kind that goes to watch a movie for sheer fun, or hate violence in movies, this movie is not for you.

Otherwise, 'Veyyil' is a beautiful movie. Only, it had the potential to be a great movie, and it was wasted. The theme is simple. The movie wants to talk about the pathos of a man who has run away from home, failed in life, and gets back home, but finds he cannot stick on. His dejection and depression are excellently portrayed by Pasupathi. If you enjoy good acting, please watch this movie for him.

The romance between Bharat and Bhavana is fresh, but it has diluted the message of the director. It makes your attention wander from the subject, andthose scens could have been avoided.

Excellent mucic by GV Prakash. 'Urugude' and 'Veyilodu' are excellent specimens.

'Veyyil' makes you laugh. It makes you cry. A movie that does that is a great one. Yet the greatness is lost because of the frills. Only wish that director Vasanthabalan had not compromised.

Plus Points: Pasupathi
Excellent acting by all the artistes.
The music
The camerawork

Minus Points: Dilution of the script. And that's a BIG minus.
